I say the following as someone who always places in the Top500 in OD. OD has always been a joke. In fact I would argue it’s never run more smoothly than it does now. However, it’s an incredibly frustrating and incredibly unpopular game mode that EA will not take away, and I genuinely wish somebody could help me understand why it is still the central game mode in this game, let alone still in existence at all.

It is things like this—obsolete capt—that make me believe they are throwing darts at a wall and have no idea what they’re doing. That is, things happen, and you have to work on the fly sometimes. This is understood in any situation, in any occupation. However, Some things, such as player progression, should be planned and decided on when the game initially drops.In July, they should know exactly how and when they are going to progress and where they will end up. Consequently, they should have a plan for capt updates, both how much update and when. The ostensible fact that they don’t seem to have said plan, that they seem to be walking into a meeting in Feb and someone says, “hey, maybe we should upgrade captains” is highly disconcerting.

I can quit if I want to. But I still appreciate Messina even if I take everything he says with a grain of salt.

I have no problem with the timers (an invitation to put the game down...thanks), but the full games with 100 second quarters. Ugh.    As for the OP and his point, yes, he is throwing a tantrum, but I would argue EA was vague, maybe intentionally vague, about the changes to the timers.

Competitive modes and promo masters should always give out the top players (along with super-rare limited edition unicorns). They require the most work and/or skill and/or commitment.

I have iOS, I have completed the TE set and I cannot see Deion’s set.
