Two words. Yes.

Do we want a realistic game? If so fumbles happen. If they remove or tune down fumbles, the game is not realistic. If there is a boost or difference in player talent in play, fumbles should be there. If an NFL all star hits a rookie talent level player, fumbles happen. If a team utilizes a negative boost and it matches up well with you hit power boost, fumbles should happen. If you want a game where there are no fumbles and it is easy to score every time, then we can't complain if the game is unrealistic.
