Quote from Ram99 >> Quote from ickyswood >> I don't think the community manager owes us any response. I think it was kind of assumed mobile would be down. Look at these forums, they are dead. The field pass was great but the lack of new fun ways to play and actually tell if your team is good is my number one complaint. How hard would it be to give us weekend tournaments or all madden h2h?

Quote from Bouncer014 >> Very interesting. Thanks for sharing! I wonder if it could ever get bad enough to open the door for EA/NFL to let someone else take a shot at making a mobile NFL game. Sadly no because of how much money MUT makes EA and the NFL. Their microtransactions were almost a BILLION dollars this quarter. That is probably some serious cheddar for NFL. Also you are still my favorite part of this community over the past 5 years:

Quote from MaddenPimp >> For what it's worth from a long time player who stopped playing this season, the last thing you want is for MM revenue or profitability to drop, as that would likely result in a few likely outcomes: reducing the staff to work on it, to make it more profitable, or possibly stopping the product altogether. You want them to be successful, so they generate the cash to have the resources to address some of the key issues, like the presence of OD, constant defects, etc. Exactly. I like this game, I play it a lot and I want it to be successful. They made tons of money in 2015-2018 with more fair and fun systems everybody loved, but they got greedy and now refuse to change course or admit they failed. If they literally just changed direction and released MM 15-18 with updated graphics and fixed some engine issues they could make so much money. I really do not understand the resistance to listen to the people that made them successful originally.

Quote from KrisC_Gmen >> Not mentioning Madden Mobile honestly doesn’t mean anything whatsoever. Now, I’m not saying you’re wrong and madden mobile is doing well, but what you stated and showed means nothing Again it does if you know anything about quarterly investor reports. These reports are designed to get people excited about a stock to increase share price while providing limited information about why certain areas are underperforming. When Anthem releases to a mess they mention it. When something like BF5 or MM underperforms a little or is static in terms of income yoy they don't mention it as it would bum out investors. It is obvious if MM was any kind of success in terms of money or player count they would have mentioned it as they needs wins in this space as their operating income continues to drop year on year. EA isn't going to keep success stories in the dark for investors, so it is obvious MM20 is not one. Also it is mentioned specifically in Q3 here:

Quote from FenrisAnestor >> This game always had $100 store only players, every single year. I guess these particular players may be a little less achievable this year, though I disagree, because his year is much more achievable f2p in general. I am sure some people disagree with me on this, so I welcome a discussion. Now, in terms of quarterly reports: EA's fiscal year goes April-March: - Q1 does not mention mobile, and I think you are correct in the statement that it is because MM was not a good contributor, but this would be MMOD not MM20. - Q2 specifically mentions Mobile and specifically mentions it had a strong quarter. This is the launch quarter for mobile, its expected to have a good showing because of new game hype, but either way it appears to have done well.

Quote from TheyCallMeRed >> I can't dig through all the filings right now, but where does it state "Madden mobile was not financially successful this year"? Also, doesn't that contradict this statement:"FIFA Mobile China, FIFA Online 4 Mobile, Madden Mobile and Star WarsGalaxy of Heroes all grew this quarter"? Oops forgot to address second part, yes Madden Mobile was mentioned in one quarter out of 3, for growth. But if you look at quarterly reports for 2016-2018, Madden Mobile praises are sung all over. Also that quarter was the release of MM 20, so of course it should have grown versus the last quarter for Overdrive. Noticed they didn't mention year on year growth, just 'growth'. I think there should be growth with release of a new season of MM, and if there wasn't that would be huge news. Imagine if there wasn't increased spending and player counts after the wasteland that was the last 3 months of OD changing into the hype of MM20
