There is no balancing in Arena (or other competitive areas)......
LOL. I now have the stats to prove this is not true. EA can continue to claim there is no balancing in Madden, but there most certainly is something programmed in the game. I will always give credit to a solid player who outplays their OVR, but the numbers don't lie. Call it what you will, but it is balancing.
During this and the previous Arena season I compiled these stats. I was a 95 OVR previous and went 96 on Friday. I maintained over 2200 power during this period and I am currently 2302. (That is Arena based power.) I was top 500 both seasons and been top 500 from the beginning. I did not compile 60-83, although there is an interesting tidbit below. This is for color.
84-89

Avg. spd and cat for CB on picks was 87 and 80. I know MAN plays a role, but I haven't compiled that yet.
