Was Gronk a fumbling machine? Why is his carry so abysmally low?

Just curious. His EVO card has quarterback-range carry, maxing out at 68 CAR when he is 100 OVR. I noticed he fumbles - a lot. So much that I had to get rid of him. Does anyone think this stat is an error?
