Will CR run gauntlet 85 OVRs be allowed in sets?

Every new field pass we get a gauntlet that gives us useless low OVR elites.

Usually these elites can't be put in sets - at least not initially. I am not sure if this is programmer error or on purpose, because after a few weeks these elites can suddenly be used in sets.

This is especially relevant because these elites could be useful for playoff master sets.

Will EA let us use them? I don't really see their purpose otherwise.

Last gauntlet players were 82 therefore these ones should have been 84s. I can imagine EA made the 85 especially to use them for the PO sets as so many people complained about it.
