My December “Was it Really THAT Bad?” Post-Promo Recap

December brought us another month long multi-promo “fiasco” that was supposedly the “worst UF ever,” based on much of the chatter here. While I usually agree that program/promo design and execution can be improved, I still mostly continue my belief that the game is worth playing if you find it fun to build a competitive team with progressively better and dynamic choices throughout the course of a season (This is what has kept me motivated in the age of OD, schemes, lackluster H2H, team power, gameplay bugs, and the other common laundry list issues).

Rather than dwelling on only getting 21 of 25 reindeer, or ghosts being prohibitively expensive, I tried to make the best of this winter wonderland, and I think I have some solid progress to show for just taking advantage of what the game has to offer.

Here’s what I was able to add to my team F2P just by logging in and playing daily in December - January 3rd. No AH flipping. No insane grinding. Just using stamina, coins, and other in game resources efficiently to build and upgrade stuff:
