I think that it's in the way that it's presented to you. Try doing this ...
1) Complete the solo and return to challenges to get your exp. Make a note of how many you have.
2) Play the solo four more times and then return to collect exp's. Compare total exp to what you wrote down.
Even if it only displays 110 exp earned (like your screen shot), the total exp should have increased by 440.
